Social Network Giant, Facebook has introduced a new feature called Find Wi-Fi to allow users locate available free Wifi networks around and connect to them easily. Facebook tested this feature sometimes last year in selected countries for iPhone users and it is now global. Both Android and iOS users can enjoy this and it's now rolled out to all countries and all age bracket. So no restrictions anymore.
HOW IT WORKS
It's no rocket science as it's built directly into the Facebook app itself. Thus, you don't need to download any other application to acess this feature. The Find Wi-Fi option shows a map of your location as well as listing all the companies, organizations or even individuals with free Wi-Fi hotspots or routers that you can connect to for free Internet access.
Moreover, if you are in a location where your mobile data is weak, you can use Find Wi-fi to look for available free wifi hotspot near you and connect.
HOW TO USE FACEBOOK FREE WIFI HOTSPOT
✔ Open your Facebook app
✔️ Click on the More tab and then Find Wi-Fi.
✔️ Once in the Find Wi-Fi tab, you may need to turn Wi-Fi on , if it isn't on already.
You can then browse the closest available hotspots on a map, and learn more about the businesses hosting them.
NOTE: Facebook Find Wifi won't work on password protected WiFi around you. So those of you staying close to where there are free WiFi, this is yet another opportunity for free browsing.
Meanwhile, I think there is no big deal on this because even without Facebook, you can still connect to free WiFi. There are bunch of apps that can do that.
