Sky TV has unveiled a new film channel for its Sky Cinema subscribers called Sky Cinema Sky-Fi. This new channel is specific to the science-fiction genre bringing all-time classics as well as the latest science-fiction releases.
The Sky-Fi channel is scheduled to make a debut Saturday September 9 2017 which will run until Sunday October 8th.
Sky TV also mentioned that the science-fiction chanel will be available to Sky Cinema subscribers at £10 per month.
Sky has a number of these seasonal movie channels planned for the upcoming year – including dedicated channels for Halloween and Christmas planned. The Sky-Fi channel also walks in line with the success of Sky Cinema Oscars in February to Sky Cinema Fast and Furious in April.
List of Movies Included in Sky Cinema Sky-Fi
1. All Star Wars series – featuring The Force Awakens and 2016's Rogue One .
2. 10 original Star Trek movies.
3. Steven Spielberg classics such as Close Encounters of The Third Kind and Minority Report.
4. James Cameron's The Terminator
5. Back to the Future trilogy.
Ahead of the theatrical release of Blade Runner 2049, the channel will also feature the theatrical version of Ridley Scott's iconic Blade Runner, as well as a special programme looking ahead to the new film.

“It is another innovative offering for our customers bringing the sci-fi genre to life, re-affirming our position as the UK and Ireland's leading in-home movies service.”
