Snap has updated its mega-popular app Snapchat to add a few new features to the mix, which should help even more with customization.
Today, Snapchat was updated to add at least one new feature that was already available to brands: The ability to link a website to an individual snap. There will be a paperclip that appears now, allowing users to swipe up and view the link through Snapchat’s internal browser. On the editing side, there’s a Vertical Toolkit that will let links be added.
The other new additions to the app includes new backdrops, which lets a user use the Scissors to remove a section of the background in their snap and replace it with something else. Voice filters, which were originally available in Snapchat’s AR live filter lens, can let users remix their voice in a snap. And, finally, there are now custom, creation-based geofilters that cost $5.99. They are in the “On-Demand Geofilters” section.
The update for Snapchat is available now, for both iOS and Android
